You can also make donations, specifying how they should be used, such as "ashram development," "feeding cows," "helping sadhus," or "planting trees." If you do not specify the purpose of the donation, we will use it for the most pressing needs at the time.

VOLUNTEERS

If you have special skills that the ashram team requires, you can come for a period of time to serve.
‍
Currently, we especially need skills in construction, particularly interior finishing or working with furniture. Assistance with planting is also needed in certain times of the year. Sometimes, help is required in the kitchen and café during retreats.

If your qualifications are high and your service is particularly needed, we will be happy to provide you with accommodation and meals.

PROJECT TEAM

If you are eager to move to Govardhan permanently, and become part of the Sri Rupa Seva Kunj team, it is best to start with volunteering. This way, you can get to know us better, and we can get to know you. Additionally, we ask that you carefully study our values and principles. These are not just beautiful words on paper; each one represents a continuous deep meditation, and it is important to us that you immerse yourself in it, if you choose to join us full-time.

We also ask for your understanding that we cannot afford to expand the team unnecessarily, so we only accept those who are truly needed.

At the moment we need:

  • A cook with experience in regularly preparing prasadam for a large number of Vaishnavas.
  • A gardener with extensive experience in growing trees and shrubs, and a desire to develop in this field.
  • A skilled builder with extensive experience in interior finishing work.

We would like to note that skills such as playing the karatalas, distributing prasadam, conducting study of Bhakti-shastras, teaching yoga, or any psychological and esoteric practices are wonderful, but in our case, they can only serve as useful additions to the specific skills mentioned above.

If you see that your specialization is not listed among our current needs but are confident that the ashram would greatly benefit from your service, you can still fill out the application form and tell us about yourself. It is possible that we will be so inspired that we will find a way to engage you or even open a new position specifically for you.

What we expect from you:

  • A stable spiritual practice for at least 5 years.
  • A willingness to perform the necessary service for the ashram for a minimum of 6 hours a day.
  • The ability to stay at Govardhan throughout the whole year (including cold and hot months).
  • A readiness to continually grow and improve – both spiritually and in your service.
  • A strong desire to serve specifically in our project.
  • Our team is primarily Russian-speaking, so that would be preferred. Knowledge of Hindi can be a nice bonus.

On our part, we are ready to provide:

  • Accommodation in a comfortable apartment (one-bedroom or two-bedroom for families) and prasadam. For brahmacharis, accommodation in the brahmachari ashram.
  • Participation in all team activities and retreats held at the ashram (when it does not interfere with your primary service).
  • Assistance with obtaining a visa (we arrange an official visa that allows you to stay in India for the entire year).
  • A monthly stipend, the amount of which will be discussed separately.
  • Paid vacation (2-3 weeks per year).
